All the Deets: Connect Tech Carriers for NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX

This post was originally published June 18, 2024 and has been updated September 17, 2025 to include the Super Hadron-DM and the Lepton carrier boards. We have removed the Hadron NGX012 since it is no longer recommended for new designs.

The NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX and Orin Nano modules are popular for use in edge devices because they deliver high performance with low power consumption. The Orin NX delivers up to 100 TOPS with power configurable between 10W and 25W. Enabling NVIDIA Super Mode increases the power budget to 40W and cranks up AI performance to 157 TOPS. With Super Mode, the Orin NX can handle complex AI models for robotics and real-time video analytics at the edge.

Connect Tech carriers make it easy and fast to deploy NVIDIA Jetson modules. The Hadron, Boson, and Lepton carriers are designed specifically for Orin NX and Orin Nano modules. Hadron is a small, headless carrier board that is ideal for drones and unmanned payloads with its tiny size and wide power input range. The Super Hadron-DM supports Super Mode on the Orin NX for higher performance edge AI applications. The Boson carrier maximizes sensor inputs and storage solutions for vision-enabled Edge AI applications. The Lepton carrier adds even more flexibility with FPD-Link III camera inputs and CAN FD support.
